The importance of the water sources of The Boilers & Millcreek Canyon cannot be overemphasized. This spring water has meant life itself for generations.
It has fed a diverse range of ecosystems, homes, gardens, fields, and livestock. The attraction of these sites historically, was the retreat and gathering places they provided for the community.
They were sacred to our community.
The last 20 years have meant explosive growth and development for our region, largely because of it's beauty and broad recreational appeal. This "progress", however, has not been kind to The Boilers & Millcreek Canyon. They have been polluted, defaced, and badly damaged.
